Operating Scissors, Tungsten Carbide Product Description

This version of Sialmed's Operating Scissors (also known as Surgical Scissors) features tungsten carbide inlays that increase durability, provide the sharpest cutting edge, and extend the lifetime of the product. Available in three tip configurations (sharp/sharp, blunt/blunt, or sharp/blunt), curved or straight, these scissors are used for general, multipurpose cutting and dissecting. Sharp Operating Scissors cut tougher tissue and are frequently used for dissecting. Blunt Operating Scissors are more often used for cutting materials such as sutures, tubing, or gauze. There are straight tips for superficial dissection and cutting, straight slender tips for more narrow fields, curved tips for deeper dissections, and curved slender tips for the deeper, narrow fields.
